Severine brings ethnic fabric Kikoy to life

Severine is a Kenyan label created by French designer Severine Devailly. The label was born in 2008 after the designer fell in love with the country and decided to move to Kenya. Now based in Mombasa, Severine aims to promote a local and ethnic fabric: The Kikoy. A kikoy (also know as kikoi), is a piece of striped cotton, usually worn by men at the coast. There is nothing manly about the Severine designs! "The Severine designs are fairly simple but extremely flattering and the 100% cotton kikoy I am using for the clothing line is very soft and flowing", tells designer Severine Devailly. So far, the Kikoy wasn't extremely used in fashion. The Kitenge and Khanga , which Severine uses for the handbag collection, are much more used in the Fashion industry, with designer like Suno or Asos Africa bringing it to a high fashion level. Even the Masaai Shuka inspired names such as Louis Vuitton for his Spring summer 2012.

"I fell that Kikoy was a little bit forgotten and it was time to bring it to the runway."adds the designer.Indeed, Severine will showcase in the amazing Africa Fashion Week in London on the 3rd and 4th of August 2012. Is Kim Kardashian naive or a manipulative celebrity?

Kim Kardashian is a beautiful woman. She can't really do anything but one thing she sure can do is taking her clothes off.
After all, it is very important to stay on top and not been forgotten and get more and more followers on twitter (Kim Kardashian has raised 7 millions followers in April 2011 and looks addicted to it).

Kim Kardashian has AGAIN posed nude for yet another magazine but once AGAIN, it is not her fault... What to think?

The Armenian beauty has her mother Kris Jenner as a manager and if you do not watch Keeping up with the Kardashians (most of all: on which planet are you living?) the momager is the most inappropriate , loud, vulgar and money grabbing mother you can get.
She even appears on E! amongst her gorgeous daughters looking so wrong on the preview of the new show. We know already that she has absolutely no issue to sale her daughters body to the press. She talked Kim into posing for Playboy ,which Kim has claimed regretting since.
But it got her very famous: it was perfect move in her career. She was not the girl from the tv reality: Kim became the sexy fashionista. Kim was then maybe naive and trust her mother too much. The momager might not be on top of thingsr: she lies, she manipulates and acts only to get more attention, and most of all: money.



But, seriously, would Kim Kardashian be this innocent? She has created an empire: clothing line, perfume, books... and this, only started with a sex tape like her diva friend Paris Hilton.
Kim has managed to get through scandals: she knows how to look good and be professional , anytime anything goes wrong is when her momager Kris the witch is involved: as simple as that. So, when we saw the pictures of W Magazine we all thought: "oh well, once again, she is naked..." but this time, Kim was not happy: apparently, she didn't agree to that: her intimate parts were suppose to be covered.
if you don't want to see any pictures of yourself naked: don't take any pictures. The advice also magically works with sex tapes. The pictures don't look good at all: it is too retouched, too weird.
Her butt is freaky, it is massive, but not really round and very high: work of plastic surgery, no one human will have such a butt this high and firm. There is too much hair as well: it is way over the top. Her nipples look enormous too! The photos are simply not good. Once again, Kim Kardashian has managed to make people talk about her by playing the naive girl : it is the sex tape all over again...

Few days later, she was posing naked (again) in USmagazine, but that one she knew right? No scandal? No tears?Ok.

Kim Kardashian , as i said, is considered as one of the most beautiful woman in the world. I can't help myself and wonder:which kind of message this send to the world? Since she has been famous, on tv and rich : she has been changing her body more and more: how can we explain this? She is running after perfection because of media is my only explanation...

Some say short hair is not feminine, some others say it is sexy.
I have always loved short hair, i think it takes a lot of courage. I love my long hair, when i do not feel good about myself and bad in my skin, i play around with it: poney tale, waves, straight etc... When you have short hair : no choice, more or less.

Let's face it: You have to be extremely beautiful to be able to put up with short hair and the cut has to be right.

This is a bit like the film "Love Actually"
Meet my friends Sally, Paul and James.
Sally and Paul had a fling years ago: They were good together but it never really happened. Sometimes unfortunately even 2 persons are meant to be together: They are not... Not the right moment..Work... Family: there is always something in the way.

Sally moved out of the country and met James, a nice guy, she didn't feel anything like when she met Paul but life goes on... They created a fantastic business together.
She will always know she missed her chance with Paul, they never got to be with each other. What about Paul then? He is actually in love with Sally and is kind of waiting for her.
So, in this love circle, what is the right thing to do?
It is easy to me to say to Sally: " Leave James and go to Paul" but she thinks of her business... Her house... Is it wrong or right?
I don't have an answer to that unfortunately...

All i can say to Sally : Sometimes you get what you need, not what you want....Make your destiny....

Let's face it, Kim Kardashian is absolutely beautiful but what else does she has?
Is she an actress? No. A model? A designer? No.
So, why is she so famous?
The sex tape helped: we can't ignore that. Followed by a crazy show "keeping up with the Kardashian".I only watch the show once in a while, I find it pretty fun, easy to watch, obviously not clever and embarrassing: You can come and film my family and i : you will get the same results: argues, happy time, girls problems, fights but without fake boobs, fake butts , fake hair and fake personalities.
Though, i appreciate the fact that Kim looks natural sometimes on the show: Bad make up after crying, terrible hair style after a fight and i must say: I admire her for that. She is obviously good in her skin and that's great to see it.

I can't help to ask myself: In this new Tv Reality world, is it enough to be pretty and have a sex tape released to make it into the famous world? Then, to make sure people don't forget about you, find a pretty famous boyfriend (not too famous, you want to be the star in your relationship and shine over his head) like Reggie Bush.

I do appreciate more her sister Khloe, she obviously suffers a bit from her sister's beauty and fame and that is why she tries to step out and i like that. She is much more natural and honest. In families, the last child is usually more eccentric and open as it has to find a place in the family without copying sisters or brothers. That is why usually, the last child is wild! Like Khloe.
I don't have much to say about Kourtney, i think she is fade and goes along with the ride without doing or saying much.

I only have to wait now and see how Kim will get along in this world and if she can find a real target in her life without embarassing TV reality, sex tapes, scandals or poor project like her perfume.

I do hope she is going to find something to do in her life. is being just beautiful ever enough to be famous? I don't think so...
